Hafod yr Afr, Llangar

From outside its front Hafod yr afr looks like a 19th century farmhouse, but its oldest timbers have now been dated to the mid-16th century 1 and it originated as a medieval hall house during the period when the Barons of Edeirnion still ‘ruled’ the parish of Llangar. Timbers date from 1522 to 1563.
