Committees

Discovering Old Welsh Houses is managed by a Committee of Trustees who are elected from its membership.  Officers to carry out specific roles for the charity are also selected from within the membership.  Trustees and Officers meet three times a year in addition to the Annual General Meeting which is held in June.

A Management Committee made up of the Chair, Secretary and Treasurer meets in the alternate months and invites key officers to contribute to the meeting as relevant to the agenda.

A Membership Secretary looks after our members database and communications about upcoming talks and events.  Nominated officers lead on research and engagement, and as coordinators for the branches currently operating in Anglesey, Denbighshire and Flintshire.

We are always seeking new Trustees and volunteers to take on Officer roles, or just part of a role.   We’d particularly like to hear from you if you’ve never volunteered in the heritage sector before and you are a fluent Welsh speaker. You do not have to have been a Trustee before, as we can provide you with the training you will need, but you would first have to be a Member.
